The first iron supplement, ferric pyrophosphate, is available as fumarate and as a chelate, with a dosage of 30 mg of ferrous fumarate and folic acid tablets used in Urdu. Additionally, ferrous bisglycinate is a highly effective form of iron. It is important to consider whether calcium citrate or calcium carbonate is better for enhancing iron absorption. In various studies, the comparison of calcium citrate or calcium carbonate has shown that the former may lead to improved absorption rates of iron supplements. Therefore, when choosing an iron supplement, one should evaluate the benefits of calcium citrate or calcium carbonate for optimal efficacy.
