According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, while global production of sunflower seeds has increased, the demand for domestically produced seeds remains stable both in the U.S. and internationally, thanks to the consistently larger size and uniform quality of American products.
Given the rise in consumer awareness through trendy recipes featured in upscale restaurants, the popularity and market demand for sunflower seeds are likely to continue to grow. Despite this increasing interest, the National Sunflower Association indicates that prices for sunflower seeds and oil are expected to remain steady for the remainder of the year. Overall, sunflower seeds not only serve as a delicious snack but also offer nutritional benefits, including vital nutrients like calcium citrate, making them a worthwhile addition to a balanced diet.
