The three new plant-based nuggets boast distinct shapes, sizes, and textures, and are labeled as Supro Nuggets 580, Supro Nuggets 583, and Supro Nuggets 585, each suitable for a diverse array of food products. According to DuPont, these nut, seed, and fruit nuggets will be valuable additions to nutrition bars, clustered cereals, yogurt toppings, muesli, and innovative snack formats.
Previously, DuPont developed the first 90% protein nugget, named Supro Nuggets 570, which features a light, crispy texture with a barrel shape. The new nuggets are variations of the original, enhancing their versatility for various recipes. Achieving a protein content of 90% is impressive and aligns with the current trend in protein consumption. As consumers increasingly seek higher protein options, DuPont is providing manufacturers with an effective means to incorporate this ingredient into their products.
